Every EVM network, one offline key
Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Optimism, BNB Chain, Avalanche and Linea run the same machine as Ethereum, so they share an address, a key and a review screen. What changes between them is the network you are pointed at - and that is never changed for you.
One address across all of them
The same account, derived once from your recovery phrase, holds funds on every EVM network. Adding a network adds a place to look, never a second thing to back up.
A site cannot move your network in silence
Switching the active network is a global act - it moves every other connected tab and the wallet’s own screens - so a site asking for it raises a consent card every time, and a tab you are not looking at cannot raise it at all.
Point a network at your own node
Every network, bundled ones included, can be pointed at an endpoint you choose and put back to its default afterwards. The wallet refuses endpoints that are not public https, which is what keeps a site from aiming it at your local network.

A site may ask to add a network. You see the chain id, the name and the RPC it wants before anything is fetched, and the endpoint is probed only after you have agreed.

Do I need a different key per network?
No. One account from one recovery phrase works on all of them.
Can a dApp switch my network without asking?
No. The active network is global, so every switch raises a consent card, and a background tab cannot raise one at all.
Can I use my own RPC endpoint?
Yes, on any network including the bundled ones, and you can restore the default at any time.
