Wallets

What is a multichain wallet?

A multichain wallet manages accounts on several blockchains, such as Ethereum, Solana and Bitcoin, from a single recovery phrase. Each chain family gets its own keys and address format, all derived from the same seed.

Why it matters

One wallet for everything is simpler to use and to back up. The catch: one phrase then protects everything, and support varies. A wallet may list a chain but not connect to its dApps, or show a balance it cannot sign for.

How Locker Protocol Wallet handles it

Locker Protocol Wallet covers EVM networks, Solana, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Cosmos chains, Tron, Sui, Aptos, Stellar and the XRP Ledger from one phrase kept on Locker Vault, and connects to dApps through each chain's own standard.

Questions

Is a multichain wallet less secure?

Not in itself. Security depends on where the phrase and the keys live. One phrase on an offline device protects every chain equally.

Can I use the same address on every chain?

Only on EVM networks, which share one address format. Other chains each have their own addresses.
