A seed phrase, also called a recovery phrase or mnemonic, is a list of 12 or 24 words that encodes the master secret of a wallet. Every private key and address in the wallet is derived from it, on every chain.
Why it matters
The phrase is the wallet. Anyone who reads it can recreate your keys on their own device and move everything, with no password to stop them. Most losses come from a phrase typed into a fake site, saved in a photo or a cloud note, or kept on a computer.

Should I store my seed phrase in a password manager?
It is safer on paper or metal, offline. A password manager syncs to the cloud and runs on online devices, the exact places attackers look.
Can I import an existing seed phrase into Locker Vault?
You can, but a phrase that has lived in a browser extension may already have been exposed. We recommend creating a new one on the offline device and moving your funds to it.
