Is Locker Protocol Wallet a good Backpack alternative?

It is if you want the key off the computer. Locker Protocol Wallet works with the dApps you already use, but every signature is approved on a separate offline device by QR code. If you mostly want one-click signing, Backpack stays faster.

Do dApps that support Backpack work with Locker Protocol Wallet?

Solana dApps that list wallets through the Wallet Standard show Locker Protocol Wallet next to Backpack. It never takes Backpack's own slot in the page, so a site that only talks to Backpack by name will not see it.

Can I import my Backpack recovery phrase?

You can, but we recommend the opposite: create a fresh recovery phrase on the offline device and move your funds to it. A phrase that has lived in a browser extension may already have been exposed.

Is Locker Protocol Wallet free?

Installing and holding is free, and so is the Locker Vault app. Swaps and bridges made from the extension add at most 0.25%, and Hyperliquid orders 0.05%, always shown before you sign.
