A watch-only wallet knows your addresses or public keys but not your private keys. It can show balances, history and incoming payments, and prepare transactions, but it cannot sign them.
Why it matters
It separates looking from spending. The device you use every day, the one exposed to the internet, gets everything it needs to be useful and nothing that could move your funds if it were compromised.
How Locker Protocol Wallet handles it
Every account in the Locker Protocol Wallet extension is watch-only: it comes from Locker Vault by QR code and carries public keys only. Transactions prepared in the extension go back to the Vault to be signed. On Bitcoin, the watch-only view can also be exported to Sparrow or Nunchuk.

Can a watch-only wallet be hacked?
Its data can be read, which reveals balances and addresses, but a thief cannot spend from it because the private keys are not there.
What is the difference between watch-only and cold storage?
They are two halves of one setup: the cold device keeps the keys and signs, the watch-only wallet shows the funds and prepares transactions online.
