What is a crypto bridge?
A bridge moves value from one blockchain to another, for example USDC from Ethereum to Solana. Depending on the design, it locks tokens on one side and releases them on the other, or pays you from liquidity already waiting on the destination chain.
Why it matters
Bridges hold large pools of funds, which makes them prime targets for hacks. A transfer usually takes minutes, cannot be recalled once sent, and you need a little native coin on the destination chain to use what arrives.
How Locker Protocol Wallet handles it
Locker Protocol Wallet includes bridging in the extension, between the chains it supports. The destination and the wallet's fee (at most 0.25%) are shown before you sign on the Vault, and the transfer is followed until it lands.
Questions
How long does a bridge transfer take?
From under a minute to about half an hour, depending on the route and on how many confirmations the source chain requires.
What if my bridged tokens do not arrive?
Look up the transfer on the bridge's explorer with the source transaction hash. Most delays resolve on their own; a transfer sent to the wrong chain or address cannot be reversed.
